Jude, sometimes called Judas, or Jude Thaddaeus, is mentioned in Luke 6:16 and Acts 1:13 as one of the apostles of Jesus. He was traditionally believed to have been the author of the Epistle of Jude and is often identified with Thaddaeus, the apostle mentioned in Mark 3:18 and Matt. (1) Judas (Jude 1; Matt. 13:55; John 14:22; Acts 1:13), called also Lebbaeus or Thaddaeus (Matt. 10:3; Mark 3:18); and (1) Giuda (Gd 1; Matt. 13:55; Giovanni 14:22; At 1,13), chiamato anche Lebbaeus o Taddeo (Matteo 10:3; Marco 3,18);
(2) Judas Iscariot (Matt. 10:4; Mark 3:19). (2) Giuda Iscariota (Matteo 10:4; Marco 3,19).

He who is called "the brother of James" (Luke 6:16), may be the same with the Judas surnamed Lebbaeus. Colui che viene chiamato "il fratello di Giacomo" (Lc 6,16), può essere lo stesso con Giuda surnamed Lebbaeus. The only thing recorded regarding him is in John 14:22.
