Many of our customers find it easy to heat their whole house to a comfort level matching or sometimes surpassing that of a conventional heating source. People often indicate that they are able to maintain a house temperature within one or two degrees of the desired temperature throughout the living area.

They tell us about using 3 or 4 cords of wood to totally heat the house for a northern winter.

We recommend regularly checking the chimney and smokepipe for creosote accumulation (as a safety precaution), but commonly JUCA users find that cleaning is needed much less often than with the other woodburners on the market.

JUCA products can use large blowers and efficient heat exchangers to remove massive amounts of heat from the smoke, without having the serious problem of creosote precipitating out of the 'cooled' smoke ... because there was little creosote in the smoke in the first place.
