The need for a PerSonal Security Transmitter system

Home and Business Smoke and Fire Alarms. A PSST transmitter could be simply connected to the alarm circuit of any such system. Whenever the Smoke Alarm sounded, a signal would be transmitted by the PSST device. As with the Security application above, the PSST Office would be aware of this within about one-fourth second. An auto-dialer would then call the homeowner at the number on-file. If it was a spurious triggering of the Smoke Alarm, the Fire Department would not be notified. If that could not be confirmed, they would be sent out.
